Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Coordinator/Office Coordinator to join our construction team in Pasadena, CA. The ideal candidate must have recent experience in the Construction/Public Works industry. This role will be responsible for driving business growth by securing new construction projects, developing project proposals, managing office operations, and supporting HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
* Identify and pursue new construction project opportunities, particularly in the Public Works sector.
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
* Develop proposals and bids for new projects, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
* Collaborate with the management team to strategize growth opportunities in both public and private construction sectors.

Office Coordination:
* Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficiency and organization.
* Handle correspondence, manage office supplies, and ensure smooth communication across departments.
* Support office staff with administrative tasks, including scheduling and document management.

Project Administration:
* Assist in coordinating ongoing construction projects, ensuring proper documentation, timelines, and deliverables, and provide updates to management.

HR Support:
* Assist with HR tasks such as onboarding new employees, maintaining employee records, and managing time-off requests.
* Coordinate employee training, certifications, and compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the construction industry, with a focus on public works required
* Private construction experience is a strong plus.
* Prior administrative experience, especially in a project coordinator or project administrator role, is highly preferred.
* Proven track record in business development or sales in the construction industry.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software.
* Knowledge of HR practices and compliance is a plus.
